This is book one in a new, exciting series by Piper Stone. Nestled in the heart of Missoula, Montana are seven smokejumpers, an elite team called the Jackals, sworn to protect lives and the majestic land surrounding them. By day they indulge in their penchant for danger. By night they exude passion. While they have yet to find love, they are ready to lavish a woman with adoration. They share a bond of friendship, and a membership to Burnout, an exclusive club catering to a domestic discipline life style. Each man has a story to tell, one of heartache, yearning and tragedy. Are you ready for their journey and their brand of domination?

Prevent. Protect. Preserve. This is their motto…

Rock singer, Jessica Dunn, is at a crossroads in her life and her music career. She knows it’s time for a change. When a friend suggests a vacation in Missoula, Montana, she accepts, albeit with reservations. Cowboy country isn’t her style. While meeting a sexy rancher has delicious perks, she doesn’t like his attitude. After seeing a hint of the man inside, she’s determined to peel away his armor.

Stoker Hansen is no lady’s man. In truth, the wounded vet prefers tending to his ranch and soothing his personal beasts fighting to breach the surface. A fireman by trade, his cowboy behavior has garnered a lengthy suspension. A damning secret haunts his every move but a chance meeting with a new girl in town lights his fire. The opinionated vixen has a mouth and a ballsy personality and sparks fly, but he’d prefer to take her over his knee for a hard spanking versus develop any kind of a relationship. Still, he remains intrigued.

A series of tragic events pushes Stoker into rejoining the smoke jumping team, if only for a single caustic event. He will face his greatest challenge in an effort to save his honor. Can the sexy singer bring out the man inside and banish his nightmares? Can the handsome smoke jumper help Jessica leave her past behind, finding love as well as her voice?

Dear Bridget I Want You by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland

Ruth West - Thursday, September 21, 2017

From the New York Times Bestselling authors of Stuck-Up Suit and Mister Moneybags, comes a new, sexy standalone novel.

Dear Bridget,
I'm writing this letter because it's highly doubtful I'll ever garner the courage to say this to your face.
So, here goes.
We're totally wrong for each other. You're the proper single mum with a good head on your shoulders. I'm just the carefree British doctor passing through town and temporarily living in your converted garage until I head back to England.
But here's the thing... for some bloody reason, I can't stop thinking about you in very inappropriate ways.
I want you.
The only reason I'm even admitting all of this to you right now is because I don't believe it's one-sided. I notice your eyes when you look at me, too. And as crass as I appear when we're joking around about sex, my attraction to you is not a joke.
So, what's the purpose of this note? I guess it's a reminder that we're adults, that sex is healthy and natural, and that you can find me just through the door past the kitchen. More specifically, it's to let you know that I'm leaving said door cracked open from now on in case you'd like to visit me in the middle of the night sometime.
No questions asked.
Think about it.
Or don't.
Whatever you choose.
It's doubtful I'll even end up sliding this letter under your door anyway.
--Simon

Her Rockstar Dom (Pleasure Island Series)

By Anya Summers

Available September 26th from Blushing Books

Enjoy an Excerpt from Her Rockstar Dom

Julia would examine the video feed. Perhaps he had found another submissive for the night and was already engaged. Not that she wanted to watch him bang another chick, but perhaps if she studied him in his bungalow, she could discern his pattern. Then she’d be better prepared to go after her mark in the morning.

Cruz wouldn’t be happy. Tonight’s dismal failure had shrunk her window of opportunity before he pulled her from the case. If she reviewed the footage when she arrived home, she should be able to salvage what was left of her mission.

Without a second thought, she stripped out of her barely there clothing, tossed it on a nearby lounge chair, and dove in. The water was warm from the heat of the sun. She surfaced, her body lengthening as she swam the length of the pool. Swimming was a catharsis. It calmed her, always had. She wasn’t certain why. Perhaps it was because it was the one time she was alone. She enjoyed the way the water sluiced over her skin. The way it seemed to seep into the core of her being and bring her peace.

Reaper's Kiss by Allison West

Ruth West - Sunday, September 17, 2017

Title: Reaper's Kiss
Author: Allison West
Publisher: Blushing Books
Published: August 29, 2016
Genre:Paranormal, Romantic Erotica

Reaper's Kiss is a paranormal romance about Princess Ophelia, heir to the throne. Very quickly in the story she gets murdered and is given the choice to become a grim reaper. She takes it, seeing as how this is her only way for a second chance at life. She also happens to miss her sister, so she is given the chance to watch over her younger sister, the new heir to the throne.

There is a love story mixed in, (let me say Wynter is hot) but thankfully no love triangle. There are lots of characters but they were pretty easy to keep track of everyone and what they were: grim reapers, dark angels, demons. This paranormal fantasy was unlike anything I've ever read. At times it was like being in a fantasy world that was reminiscent of history. For example the Black Plague was pretty much a focus point of one of the reaps.

The author created strong characters and a fast paced story. Fantastical world building made this book really shine with a heated sexy romance. This story held my interest until the very end, with an unpredictable ending. I would love to read a sequel and although this book had a solid happy ending, I could see the potential for a second book. I will definitely be reading more of Allison West's books in the future. If you like steamy sex scenes and a story with a that is worth reading, not just PWP (plot what plot) then read this book!

Heat by Holly S. Roberts

Ruth West - Thursday, September 14, 2017

Title: Heat
Author: Holly S. Roberts
Publisher: Four Carat Press
Published: Jan 18, 2016
Genre: Romantic Suspense

Heat was a well-written, fast paced book. Madison Kinlock was very relatable as a former policewoman turned PI, who was attracted to bad guy Catch Xavier Moon. Moon was beyond hot and sexy, plus smart and powerful. I was rooting for these two characters to find a happy ending from just about the first moment they met. The progression of the story made sense and it was hard to put the book down because I wanted to find out how things would turn out.I really enjoyed this book and want to find (and read) others by this author.

When Cougar Dates Manwhore by Jewel Quinlan

Ruth West - Monday, September 11, 2017

Meet Jewel Quinlan, author of When Cougar Dates Manwhore (The Cougar Journals Book 4). Today she goes in-depth about her first kiss, her most adventurous experience, how she handles negative reviews, and more!

Do you have any hobbies?

Many! I love to explore life. Currently, I am still in possession of a pair of roller skates, which I break out once in a while. It’s the one childhood hobby I still haven’t let go of even at the ripe age of fourty-four. I am an advanced snow boarder and I also do yoga. In the past, I show-jumped horses for many years. Aside from reading and movies (of course) I also have been learning German for several years. I speak and read it at an advanced intermediate level now and I love it! A couple of summers ago, I also had some kite-boarding lessons, which were awesome! I’m hoping to get a few more lessons in before this summer is over and even purchase my own gear soon. Gosh, there’s so many possibilities. Life is great!

Tell us about your most adventurous experience.

I am one of those crazy people who often goes on vacation by themselves. The funny thing is that, when I do, I am never alone. I seem to meet the most interesting people right away and get invited to go along with them to do fun things. So now, I almost prefer to go on vacation by myself. LOL. It’s like telling the universe “bring me what I should have.” A few years ago, I decided to go on a week-long ski vacation in Austria (from Christmas to New Year’s). There at my hotel I got to know six other guests (most of them were traveling in pairs), and we had the greatest time skiing together, having dinner together, hanging out in the spa together. I am still friends with several of them to this day. We stay connected via Facebook and Whats App. And, while I was in Germany recently on another vacation I was able to meet up and have dinner with some of them. It’s times like these that make me feel that life really is magical and blessed.

What was your first kiss like?

It was pretty amazing. I’m not going to lie. One year, while I was in high school, my parents decided to host the son of one of my father’s French business associates for the summer. I was initially unhappy about having some stranger in the house at the time. Being that he was my age, I would no doubt get caught having to entertain him, I thought. And then … he arrived. And, oh man, was he gorgeous! Tall, with rich brown hair, green eyes, and a hot accent. Thankfully, he liked me, too. Needless to say, we shyly bonded that summer and experienced our first kiss together. Imagine that, my first French kiss from a real live French boy! I still remember the song that happened to be playing in the background, Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard. LOL. Oh well, not everything has to be perfect. Now, every time I hear that song I remember him and all the wonderful love letters he wrote me after he went back home. I don’t think my first kiss could have gone much better than that.

Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

I was born an introvert. This has been confirmed over the years as the industry I work in during the day likes to have us take personality quizzes. In fact, my latest boss just sent us another one to do. But, yes, I am an introvert and happy to be that way. What it really means to me is acknowledging where I get my energy from. Introverts need alone time. We need to sit with ourselves, tap into the mystic energy, and sort out life’s questions in silence away from the chatter of others. It also makes us well suited for jobs (like writing) where we spend a lot of time working independently on cerebral tasks. We can sit quite happily doing things on our own for a while. Not that we don’t like people. We do love others and can get lonely. But after we get caught up and have had some fun together, we need to go off on our own again.

I also have developed my extrovert side because I work a sales job during the day. But even though I am good at sales (introverts do a good job of listening and asking the right questions), having to go out and connect with various people every day has always felt like wearing a shoe that is one size too small. Even after ten years, it still feels that way because it’s not natural to me. But it has been good to learn to distinguish the difference because now I can tell for sure when I am functioning in my inherent strengths. When I write, I often slip into that zone where time and even the computer screen disappear from in front of me. I get caught up in the flow of creation. And when I finish, I feel fabulous!

How do you handle negative reviews?

I think negative reviews are a just a part of life. I have learned to accept that my books are not going to be everyone’s cup of tea. And, even more importantly, I respect that readers have the right to hold whatever opinion they would like. Does it mean that every negative opinion is true or correct? Not necessarily. But they often hold seeds of constructive criticism that I find useful as an author. It’s just one of those life lessons that not everyone is going to like you, and I accept that. And, at the end of the day, I know that I give 100% effort to writing each and every story I put out, and my best is all I can do.
